The 2008 Africa Health Research Organization on International HIV/AIDS Conference will present cutting-edge research on all aspect of HIV/AIDS.
The conference will therefore provide an exciting avenue for addressing new findings in HIV pathogenesis and epidemiology, updates on diagnosis and therapeutics on recent trends in prevention and control of HIV/AIDS, analysis the drug resistance in HIV/AIDS and the impact of HIV /AIDS on developing countries.
The conference will bring together leading researchers, public health practitioners, general practitioners, nurses, policy makers, representative NGOs to present and share ideas on challenges and insights regarding HIV/AIDS therapeutics.
Also there will be a special session for victims to tell their story.
The conference will be held at the Royal College of Physicians. This will give the participants the ideal atmosphere for brainstorming discussions after each presentation as well as opportunities for formal gatherings in the afternoon to promote cross-disciplinary collaboration on the various research areas represented.
Scientific contributions related to the symposium are invited for presentation. The Scientific Committee will consider abstracts relevant to the biology and pathogenesis of TB, clinical research, treatment and care, epidemiology, prevention and preventive strategies. The science and social behavioural, policy and health economic in relation to TB will also be considered. Abstracts should be received by 30 September 2008 and the applicant should have already registered for the conference.

Earlybird fees apply until 30 July 2008, at £140 (US$280) for developing country participants and £270 (US$540) for non-developing country participants.
